It is a math calculator that is used to calculate fractions. It can be used to determine the calculation of simple fractions or mixed fractions. There are two text fields with two sections for the numerator and denominator. This calculator can be used to perform a variety of calculation such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions. It uses an effective program that gives results in lesser time. The two controls of the calculator are active and execute different actions. The ‘Calculate’ button is used to initiate the calculations while the ‘Reset’ button is used to erase all data of the previous calculations from the text fields. Your results will be displayed below the two controls and also indicates the method used in calculation.Examples;
Addition
2/4 + 2/5= 10/20 + 8/20
= 18/20
= 9/10
= 0.9
Subtraction
2/4 - 2/5= 10/20 - 8/20
= 2/20
= 1/10
= 0.1
Multiplication
= (2×2) / (4×5)= 4/20
= 1/5
= 0.2
Division
= (2×5) / (4×2)= 10/8
= 5/4
= 1.25
After entering the numerator and denominator of the two fractions, remember to select the type of calculation according to the equation being solved. This calculator also gives a view of the portions of the fraction result in circle diagram. It makes it easier to visualize the results making it an effective for performing various calculations using different operations. The text fields for the numerator and denominator have been clearly distinguished making it easier when entering the values.
The fractions calculator can only calculate two fractions at a time using a single operation. If you want to change the operation or compute new figures, you will use the ‘Reset’ button clear all the data in the text fields. The accuracy of results depends on the values you enter in the calculator.
