The Height Converter is a conversion calculator that is used to perform multiple calculations at once. It is used to determine the height or distance of feet, inches, meters, and centimeters. It has 8 text fields and a single control button. The first text fields allow you to enter the value in feet + inches, you can also enter the value in meters, inches or meters + centimeters. The last two text fields allow you to enter the value in meters and centimeters respectively.

The Height converter has the ‘Reset' button which is useful in clearing all the previous calculations from the text fields. It is the fastest method of resetting the calculator to allow more room for performing new calculations. This calculator executes the conversions automatically when you are entering the value of a single unit of measurement e.g. inches or feet.

Convert 4 feet 45 inches to feet, inches, meters + centimeters, meters, and centimeters.

Solution

The first procedure is to enter the values 4 and 45 in the feet and inches text fields respectively.The values of other measurements will be displayed automatically in the necessary text fields. The results will be shown as;

Feet + Inches: 4ft 45"

Feet: 7.75 ft

Inches: 93"

Meters + Centimeters: 2m 36.33cm

Meters: 2.3622 m

Centimeters: 236.22 cm

1 ft = 12 ", where one foot is equivalent to 12 inches

Conversion of inches to centimeters

1" = 2.54 cm, where one inch is equivalent to 2.54 centimeters

Conversion of centimeters to meters

1 cm = 0.01 m, which means that one centimeter is equal to 0.01 meters

1m = 100 cm, which means that one meter is equal to 100 centimeters.
