Ev to keV Conversion

It converts the energy in electron volts (eV) to the energy in kilo electron volts (keV). It is programmed with two control buttons which perform different functions in the calculator. It has a single text field and guarantees the speed of conversions. The first procedure is to enter the energy in electron volts in the open text field before clicking the ‘Convert' button. The results will be displayed on the bottom platform of the calculator below the two control buttons. This calculator can only perform conversions from electron volts to kilo electron volts. It is always important to enter the correct values in the text field since it determines the accuracy of the results.

Formula of converting energy in electron volts to kilo electron volts

E (keV) = E (eV) / 1000, which means that the energy in kilo electron volt is calculated by dividing the energy in electron volts by 1000.

It can also be expressed as;

1 Ev = 0.001 keV, which means that one electron volts are equivalent to a thousandth of a single kilo electron volt.

The electron volts to kilo electron volts uses this formula in executing the conversions in a lesser time once initiated.

For example;
If the energy in electron volts is 650 (eV), find the power in kilo electron volts.

Solution
E (keV) = E (eV) / 1000

= 650 (eV) / 1000 = 0.65 KeV

Example 2
If the energy in electron volts is 0.657 (eV), what is the energy in kiloelectron volts?

Solution
E (keV) = E (eV) / 1000

= 0.657 (eV) / 1000 = 0.000567 kiloelectron volts (keV).

The electron volts to kilo electron volts cannot be used to convert multiple values at once. It means that it executes one calculation at once. If you have several values that need to be converted, you can always erase the previous calculations using the ‘Reset' button with a single click.
